CARTIER CEINTURE WITH INTEGRATED BRACELET

The Cartier Ceinture was first made as far back as 1927. It was then released, in greater numbers, as part of the ‘Louis Cartier Collection’ in 1973. It takes its name from the French word for belt, due to its unique design of a square case with cut corners resembling a belt buckle. They came in 25mm and 27mm, with a 31mm automatic version releasing not long after.

These watches are most commonly found in yellow gold, with much fewer made in white gold or two-tone. This example though is incredibly rare, not only is it in white gold, but also comes with a beautifully made ‘beads of rice’ integrated bracelet of the same metal, with French hallmarks and Cartier signature on the clasp. The dial and case are signed PARIS, meaning it was retailed out of the Paris or London boutiques, it comes in the larger 27mm size and the classic Cartier sword hands maintain a blue lustre.
