OMEGA COSMIC TRIPLE DATE REF. 2471

£2,400.00

The Omega Cosmic was the brands first watch to display the time along with full calendar, showing the date, day, month and moon phase. It was released in 1947 and ran until 1956, with six different references being produced, coming in different variations of size (35mm/37.5mm), metal (steel/gold) and case shape, with a square version being made in 1951.

The Cosmic we have here is the 35mm ref. 2471, in stainless steel. The dial, although not in perfect condition, has a warm yellow glow with which the baby blue date numerals and calendar hand contrast beautifully. Also, this watch has luminous Arabic numerals, which is a rarer dial configuration and the moon phase disk has aged creating a tropical golden brown sky.
